Rajani Sharma-Abbott (Raj) is an Occupational Therapist (OT) & a fellowship trained Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) with an advanced degree in Upper Extremity Rehabilitation. She has a strong background in academic as well as clinical education, training & patient care. She is a life long learner, a mentor & teacher and has lectured nationally and internationally.

A long time Annapolitan, She has worked in Anne Arundel County & Baltimore area in association with the Curtis National Hand Center & previously with the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
She is known for her vibrant & compassionate ways of caring for her patients. She has strong problem solving skills that help patients to restore function of their arm and hand.
She created this clinic with the vision to serve patients with undivided, one on one care.
She has a strong sense of service in her personal and professional life and has done numerous volunteer trips across the globe to raise awareness of hand therapy to improve patient care.
She enjoys nature walks, books, yoga and spends time traveling with her husband and two children.

Bay Hand Therapy Welcomes Wendy Thornton, OT and Samantha Martel, OT
Samantha Martel has a Doctorate of Occupational Therapy, DOT, and is a graduate of Shenandoah University. She did her internship with MedStar Hand Therapy clinic and has been working with children and adults with various conditions, including hand and upper extremity. She has a very strong passion for hand and upper extremity rehabilitation, which led her to join Bay Hand Therapy. Sam is on her way to earning her CHT certification. She works closely with Rajani and brings passion, eagerness and excellence to our team.
Wendy Thornton, OT, specializes in Hand Therapy and comes to us with over 20 years of experience. She has worked in prestigious clinics in the area, including University of Maryland Shock Trauma hand therapy clinic in Baltimore. Wendy is a full time mom and sees patients on a PRN basis.
